Hi, my name is Nitin and I am the Clinical Lead for the EMSICN. I am a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon in Leicester and was appointed as a Consultant in 2009. During training I have worked at many Childrens Hospitals including Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Great Ormond street and Adelaide.
I have a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, Upper Gastro-intestinal surgery, thoracic surgery, neonatal surgery and short bowel surgery. I am also designated Paediatric Breast surgeon for the Leicestershire area. Apart from the clinical work I enjoy networking, making new contacts and helping with policy decisions. In my spare time I enjoy company of friends, walking and decorating cakes. You can always find and challenge me for a game of chess on chess.com.
